Viewing Homes

Don't be influenced by listing language. The best thing to do is see for yourself. Instead of being influenced by creative listing language, stay focused on the practical details such as square footage, annual property taxes, and average utility bills. Also, really consider whether a home in need of repair is right for you.

By visiting a home you'll get a better idea whether a home advertised as needing a "little tender loving care" really needs major improvements instead of a few cosmetic upgrades. Make sure you always take notes when visiting homes. These notes will be a valuable resource later when you're trying to recall information and details about a home and when comparing possible homes for purchase.
