Choosing the Right Agent

Your goal in your search for an agent is to find an agent who works with you as an effective partner. Use the resources around you to obtain referrals for an agent. Talk to neighbors, family, friends, and colleagues. The agent you select should make you feel comfortable and confident. Avoid any agent that inspires you to feel anxious or pressured. In addition, a good agent should promptly return your phone calls and readily answer your questions.

To help your agent provide better service to you, you should make your desires, needs and priorities clear. The agent you select should have a professional demeanor and he or she should be a committed full-time agent. Many agents will be willing to inspect your home at no charge and offer you a market analysis to assist you in determining the price to offer your home for sale. However, do not select the agent that simply offers the highest listing price. Select the agent that you believe will work with your best interest in mind and that you feel comfortable with.
